Choosing links to Websites of the world's religious traditions is a more complicated task than at first appears. The two major criteria for a good site are tolerance and authenticity, and yet these are sometimes at odds with each other. Scholars who do not profess a particular religion can write knowledgably about it, while some practitioners of that same religion may have a rather narrow or misinformed take on it. And vice versa. I've tried to select websites that display tolerance alongside passion for the spiritual tradition they cover. If you are offended by any of these sites-other than because of doctrinal disagreements--please let me know why.

To simplify the search process, I have included a separate set of links to sacred scripture sites, although many of the basic informational sites in the first set of links also contain scriptures. I've tried to choose the scripture links that offer the most comprehensive access and are easiest to navigate. If you know of better ones, I welcome your suggestions.
